While Lena’s aesthetic can be applied to many different media, her true passion is jewelry design. Since childhood, she has been collecting jewelry and has been fascinated by gemstones. Lena first turned her passion for jewelry into a business in 1998 with the introduction of rings carved out of large solid pieces precious stones, such as ruby, turquoise and crystal. By treating precious stones in a spirit of nonchalant elegance, Lena started to attract a sophisticated editorial and retail profile, appearing in such publications as W magazine and Vogue and stores such as Barneys New York and Maxfield.
Lena’s collections encompass not only the rarefied world of modern precious stones, but also trends that can capture a broader appeal. She created the diamond initial earrings that spiked a huge trend in personalized jewelry. Her creations are unique and always chic ranging from delicate designs that are simple yet elegant to show-stopping solid stone rings and bracelets made from the biggest pieces of semi-precious and precious stones that she can find.
In 2009, Lena moved to Paris with her family, where she embraced the culture, the language, and the arts, in particular broadening her knowledge of mid-century French furniture. After two years of living in Paris, Lena returned to Los Angeles and was offered the position of Curator of Maxfield Gallery. Lena manages a number of interior design projects and has become an expert in her field.
